    IronMan 70.3 Puerto Rico

Jake and I went into our first Ironman totally underprepared (no rental bikes) just whatever we had, but honestly, it was such a blast. The swim was easy, the bike absolutely killed us, and the run? Let’s just say it was rough, but we made it through. I finally feel like I’ve found my people, and I can’t wait for the next race :)

    Swimming Abroad

No matter where I go traveling or on the move I always make time for my training. Swimming is a big part of my Ironman prep, and in Milan, it was tough to find a pool. But I carved out an afternoon, figured out the Italian translations, and got my swim in. I really enjoyed connecting with the people in Milan, even though the swimming etiquette was completely different from what I’m used to. Very few people spoke English, but it made the whole experience even more special :)

    Weekly Triathlon Training

10-10-100 (10-mile run, 10-mile bike, 100 laps in the pool) is a weekly training routine I created. At times, it’s the thing I look forward to most each week. Some days I dread it, especially this one right after a half marathon. I love seeing myself get faster and stronger every week, and at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if I feel good or not—it just feels good to keep showing up.
